Chicken Sanconcho: is a thick soup in which the chicken is the star and is accompanied by rice, potatoes, green plantains, yucca and corn on the cob. The sancocho is a soup with many calories and protein, is not recommended for vegans since it is made with chicken but there is a version of vegan sancocho that is made based on a vegetable broth.

Chontaduro: Is one of the fruits that differentiates Cali from the rest. Chontaduro is a typical fruit that can be eaten with salt or honey. this fruit is healthy, it has aphrodisiac properties. The chontaduro is recommended for everyone!

Empanadas vallunas: Preparing them is quite simple and cheap, you need corn dough, meat or chicken, yellow potato. This meal is not recommended for vegans and vegetarians because the empanadas are filled with meat or chicken.


Tamales vallunos: The traditional tamales vallunos are widely consumed during the weekends. Not recommended for vegetarians, this have a lot meat and chicken!!
Ingredients:
- Three packets of dough
-Four cups of water
For the filling:
-Three pounds of pork ribs and chicken
-1 or 2 cup of hogao
-One pound of sliced carrot
-Two pounds red potato
-sliced Steamed or roasted banana leaves
Preparation: One day before preparation, the ribs and chicken are seasoned with onion, garlic, cumin and herbs, salt and pepper. The dough dissolves in the water, without being very thick. The leaves are broken into large pieces. On a sheet, they are placed in order: a tablespoon of dough, a rib or piece of meat, a piece of chicken, a slice of carrot, 2 slices of potato and bathe everything with ogao. Then the sheet is carefully folded over the filling, folding the ends over the filling, to imprison it so that it does not water and the ends are tied. Cook the bundles in a large pot with water in the bottom, covered to retain the steam, for a couple of hours.
